Our 1st VII netball girls began life under a new Head of Netball with a pleasing victory – thanks in part to a team of show shovelers.
While football and lacrosse fixtures fell victim to the icy weather last Saturday, the netball courts at Worth were cleared of snow by a hardworking team to allow four senior fixtures against Hurst College to go ahead.
Under the guidance of new Head of Netball, Ms Elaine Pieters, the first team ran out 45-30 winners while there were encouraging displays for the U18B, U18C and U18D teams. There were also training sessions for the U14s and U15s, whose away fixtures had been cancelled.
This weekend there are fixtures for nine different Worth representative netball teams, from U14 to senior, against Lancing College.
