Another great year of drama at Worth

Worth School

It was another hugely successful year for Drama at Worth with three superb productions, covering all year groups, and a red-carpet end of year awards night when a professional actor was among the presenters.

The 2024-25 academic year at Worth included three fabulous shows: Sister Act the Musical (the Senior School production), Lord of the Flies (Middle School) and Matilda (Junior School).

Professional actor Lizzie Bea, whose credits include performing as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray and Sister Mary Roberts in the West End revival of Sister Act last year, helped with Worth’s own production of Sister Act. Lizzie was also a special guest at our Drama Awards Evening in June, which was run in the style of the Olivier Awards.

Drama at Worth is widely regarded to be outstanding. As well as productions throughout the year in our own theatre in the Performing Arts Centre, there are regular masterclasses, opportunities for students to get involved backstage with sound and lighting, plus the annual House Drama competition which is a chance for all students to get involved.

Drama is offered at Worth as an academic option for both GCSE and A Level.

We are now looking forward to our next big show, the 2025-26 Senior School production which will be The Addams Family.

Well done to all students who were involved in our productions, either onstage or backstage, in the last academic year.
