Another successful week for cricket

It was another good day for our cricket teams last Saturday with four wins from five fixtures against Christ’s Hospital including emphatic wins for the 1st XI and U15A Boys.

The 1st XI posted 222-6 from their 35 overs with Charlie falling just short of his second century in two weeks with a knock of 94. Christ’s Hospital were then dismissed for 135 in reply with Fraser picking up three wickets to follow the five he took in a T20 cup win against the same opposition two days earlier.

The U15A Boys were equally impressive winners, posting 175-1 with Sammy scoring 83 and Felix 55. Then Harry took four wickets and Oscar three as the opposition were skittled for 75.

There were also victories for the 2nd XI and 1st XI Girls.

On Sunday, a young 1st XI played its annual ‘Classic Clash’ fixture against Sussex Marlets who scored 250-5 declared, with Charlie picking up 2-66. Worth fought hard in reply but could not hold on for a draw despite some excellent resistance from Benji (23 not out).

This weekend Worth has four fixtures against The Judd School.
