Athletes impress at first meeting

Worth athletes produced a number of excellent performances at the opening Sussex Independent Schools Diamond League meeting of the year in Eastbourne.

Among the highlights were Annabel winning her 1,500m race in 5.06.39, Tristan coming second in his 300m race in 36.42 and Matthew coming second in the senior javelin.

However, there were impressive performances across the board, including a number of Diamond League debutants. All athletes competed in at least two events and we can look forward to the term ahead with much optimism.

The next round of the Diamond League is at K2 Crawley this Saturday.
