Boarders enjoy weekend trips

Worth School

Each of our boarding Houses organised a start-of-year trip last Sunday which was a great way for students to bond.

The first weekend of the academic year is commonly known as ‘closed weekend’ and these trips serve to strengthen existing friendships, build new friendships and enable each House to enjoy a shared experience.

Girls in St Mary’s Middles went to Thorpe Park’s thrilling theme park, St Mary’s Sixth enjoyed a day out in Brighton where they could take part in an escape room-type activity, boys in St Bede’s went paintballing, Gervase enjoyed a teambuilding day at Weir Wood Reservoir and Rutherford went to Airsoft before finishing the day with a BBQ.

Throughout the academic year, boarders can take part in regular House events as well as partaking in our weekends programme which includes events, activities and socials on Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday evening and Sunday trips.
