In a move to celebrate National Year of Reading, Year 7 pupils played ‘Book bingo’ and other fun reading-related games during a recent English lesson.
The National Year of Reading is a UK-wide campaign designed to inspire more people to make reading a regular part of their lives.
Reading for pleasure is encouraged across all year groups and it was great to be able to support this initiative with some of our youngest pupils. ‘Book bingo’ is a game where pupils have a grid of challenges which ask them to find relevant books in the library.
The library at Worth has an extensive range of books, to support academic learning and for general reading, plus many more options via an e-library as well as other electronic resources.
