Celebrating our wonderful musicians

Our hugely talented musicians celebrated this term’s music at a fabulous Ensembles Concert in the Abbey Church at Worth last Thursday.

The evening featured performances from the Concert Band, Sax Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Jazz Orchestra, Camerata, Chamber Choir and the Worth School Symphony Orchestra.

Our musicians provided a journey through a variety of genres, periods and moods, showcasing the artistry and hard work of our ensembles. The music ranged from Smetana’s Vltava played by the Symphony Orchestra to jazz standards, including Miles Davis’s classics So What and Freddie Freeloader, to rock, pop and film music arrangements plus a medley of Coldplay songs by the Concert Band.

The concert also celebrated our Year 13 musicians who have made such a contribution to music at Worth during their time at the School. After the concert, which is their last significant concert at Worth, they gathered for a photograph with Director of Music Mr Lewis Brito-Babapulle and Assistant Director of Music Mr Stephen Rodwell.

Well done to all students who performed on the evening.
