Choir gives moving performance

Our Schola Cantorum gave a moving performance of Gabriel Fauré’s much loved Requiem as we marked the season of Remembrance in the Abbey Church last Thursday.

There is a long-standing tradition at Worth of the choir performing this work each year. Fauré’s setting of the Requiem text provides music of great beauty and quiet contemplation interspersed with an occasional outburst of restrained emotion.

This event offered a moment of reflection for the School and wider community to remember those close to them who have passed away.

Tomorrow the School will hold a Remembrance Day Service in the Abbey Church.
