Concert celebrates music at Worth

Fri, May 30th, 2025
Worth School

Worth’s talented musicians showcased some of the music they have been making this academic year at a delightful Summer Concert held on Speech Day.

Thank you to all families who showed their support for the concert which took place in a marquee on the front lawn on the afternoon of Speech Day.

This has been a busy year for the Music department at Worth with termly ensembles concerts, an annual scholars’ concert, regular informal concerts, singing Mass at Westminster Cathedral, Evensong at Chichester Cathedral, House Music which is held in two parts, termly open mic events and our annual Worth Musician of the Year, to name just a selection.

This summer there will be a music tour to Laka Garda. Worth students go on tour every two years, having been to Austria in 2023.

Music and choral singing thrives at Worth. The choir has had a long tradition of members being part of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain and has had among its members multiple former choristers of Westminster Cathedral in recent years.
