Two Worth cricket teams have Sussex cup finals to look forward to with the 1st XI reaching the final of the Langdale Division Two Cup and the U15A boys set to play in the final of the Blackshaw Division Two Cup.
Both are T20 competitions and this is a tremendous achievement for the School.
The 1st XI beat Lancing College by 24 runs to reach the final, with Percy scoring 50 not out and Jacob 27 as they posted 121-3 before Joe took 5-17 and Ranveer 3-13 as Lancing were dismissed for 97.
The U15A boys have enjoyed an excellent season with five wins from seven games. Just before half-term they beat Christ’s Hospital by 110 runs, thanks largely to a tremendous 53 from 33 balls by Ben and astonishing bowling figures for Charlie of five wickets for two runs from 2.3 overs.
On Monday, the U15A boys beat Blatchington Mill School and Sixth Form College by 27 runs in the Sussex Cup.
Dates for both finals are still to be announced.
Pictures are from the U15A boys against Christ’s Hospital, with thanks to parent Rosi.
