Drama students enjoyed a fabulous trip to New York at the end of last term which included going to two Broadway shows.
This was the first time the School has run this trip and it proved to be a huge success as the students were given a range of memorable experiences.
This included taking part in a stage combat workshop at Pearl Studios and going to watch ice hockey at Madison Square Garden. The group also had the opportunity to be pictured 86 floors up on the Empire State Building and they saw the Statue of Liberty as well as visiting Wall Street, the famous Charging Bull sculpture in Manhattan and Bubba Gump’s shrimp restaurant.
The two Broadway shows they got to see were & Juliet and Beetlejuice, both of which gave students an insight into performing at the highest level.
Worth runs a thriving Drama department, putting on three shows a year which are widely considered to be outstanding. Our next shows are Six the Musical in March and then the Junior School production of Shrek in June.
