An eggciting way to learn

Wed, Oct 6th, 2021
Worth School

Year 12 Psychology students will spend the next week looking after an egg to learn about attachment relationships.

The students have been asked to keep a diary on what they do as ‘egg parents’ over the next seven days. They have been invited to take their eggs to lessons, to enrichment activities, to House activities or even to create an Instagram account to show what their eggs have been doing.

While it will be a fun exercise, it has a serious side as they learn about relationships between humans and how young children need to develop a relationship with at least one primary caregiver for normal social and emotional development.

Psychology is offered at Worth as both an A Level option or as part of the IB Diploma.
