Worth School

The co-curriculum represents a substantial part of the Worth educational experience, involving a choice of over 150 weekly activities, clubs and societies, and some fantastic new options have been added this year with an emphasis on academic enrichment.

An Academic Scholars Society offers anyone with an interest in academic matters the chance to become involved in essay competitions, academic events, guest speakers, lectures, literary reviews, trips and more. An Anthropology Club gives students the opportunity to embark on a journey into the captivating world of human cultures while the Forensic Science Society offers the chance to explore critical thinking, enhance problem-solving skills and apply scientific knowledge within the context of criminal law.

There are several new language options available including French Debating Society, French Film Society, French Book Club, German Language and Culture Club, Italian Language and Culture Club and Ancient Greek for Beginners. There is also an Ancient Civilisation Society.

The Mathematical Puzzles and Paradoxes Society is being run for Sixth Formers, offering a chance to explore areas of maths not covered in the A Level/IB Diploma curriculum, while there is a Maths Puzzles Club for all age groups.

Other additions include a Codebreaking Club, Social Enterprise Club, Spirited Arts Club for those who have an interest in Religious Studies and are creative, and a Jewellery Making Club. Kickboxing lessons have been re-introduced and we now offer a Hockey Goalkeepers Clinic offering specialist coaching.

Some of our clubs and societies are year group specific but the whole range of options offer something for everyone and all Worth pupils are encouraged to engage and participate wholeheartedly in our extensive co-curricular programme.
