Football boys make great start

Our football boys made a great start to the term with six wins out of nine in a block of fixtures against The King’s School, Canterbury, last Saturday including an excellent 2-1 victory for the 1st XI.

There were also wins for the 2nds, 3rds, U16B, U14A and U14B.

When you include their Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) Cup fixtures in the Autumn Term, the 1st XI have now won three out of four games this academic year, with their only defeat coming on penalties in the third round of the competition following a 2-2 draw with Sevenoaks School.

Worth is running 22 representative sides this academic year, including five girls’ teams from U13s to 1st XI level. The football programme is led by Mr Daniel Collins, a UEFA A licence coach who has managed and coached in the non-league and academy system.
