GCSE results surpass expectations again

The entire Worth community is immensely proud of our 2024 GCSE cohort, which has bettered the national trend by securing a significantly improved number of top grades. Results have surpassed expectations, with dozens of pupils averaging a score of 7-9 across all their subjects. This is especially impressive for a year group that suffered from COVID-19 related disruption at such a young age.

Dr Daniel Coughlan, the Deputy Head (Academic), said: “Many congratulations to pupils and staff on these impressive results. There are many remarkable achievements, whether that be individual pupils achieving all top grades or the fact that every department has helped pupils secure the highest grades. Pupils are rightly celebrating today and looking forward to further success in the Sixth Form.”

Mrs Sarah Flint, the Head of Middle School, commented: “Congratulations to Year 11. I’m extremely proud of our pupils today who see the results of their hard work and commitment over the past few years."
