Members of the 1st XI cricket team were presented with their caps last week ahead of an excellent start to the season.

The boys and girls received their caps from the Head Master in the opening assembly of the term. Then at the weekend, the team recorded wins on both Saturday and Sunday.

Against The King’s School, Canterbury on Saturday, the opposition were bowled out for 151 and Worth reached their target for the loss of just two wickets. Then on Sunday the School played Sussex Martlets who were all out for 150 and Worth knocked off the runs for a six-wicket win. The pleasing aspect was that a number of players made significant contributions with bat and ball over the two days.

This Sunday, Worth hosts an annual prestige fixture against an MCC XI.
