Our annual House Bands competition provided a terrific evening of entertainment with guest judge Luke Saint talking about the high standard of performances in his awards speech.
House Bands is the second part of the annual House Music competition, which gives all students in the senior school an opportunity to sing on stage with professional lighting. Results from this evening are added to those from House Shout in November when all Houses perform as ensembles.
Guest judge for the evening was teacher and conductor Luke Saint who said: “There was such a high standard this evening which is reflected in the marks.”
The boys of Rutherford House emerged as winners of House Bands for their medley of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes and Paranoid by Black Sabbath. St Catherine’s were second on the evening and St Anne’s third.
Overall, St Catherine’s took the 2026 House Music title, having finished second at House Shout. Rutherford and St Anne’s were joint second, with St Mary’s third.
Well done to all nine Houses for their contribution to a fun evening of music-making.
Here is a selection of pictures from the evening.
