Pupils in two Houses, Austin and Rutherford, are getting behind the School’s Ukraine appeal by running, walking, swimming or riding the distance from Worth to Kyiv.
The Senior Prefects are leading an appeal to raise £10,000 for humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine on behalf of the whole Worth community, some of whose families are directly affected by the war. All money raised will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) via the British Red Cross.
Austin, our Junior House for Years 7 and 8, and boys’ boarding House Rutherford have now taken on the challenge to collectively travel the 1,500 miles or 2,400 kilometres as a House – whether they choose to run, walk, swim, ride or even row a boat.
Pupils have already started the challenge and are racking up the miles or kilometres already. If you are able to sponsor them or would simply like to donate to our Ukraine appeal go to our JustGiving page here: https://bit.ly/3pBxzLk
