The Worth application process is uniquely personal, designed to ensure that both parents and School are able to get to know each other, and to make as informed a decision as possible.
Boys and girls join Worth either at ages 11+ (Year 7), at 13+ (Year 9) or at 16+ (Year 12). Worth also admits a small number of pupils at age 15+ (Year 11) into a one-year IGCSE/Pre-IB course, and a few places occasionally become available for boys and girls for admission at age 12+ (Year 8) or at 14+ (Year 10). Late applicants should contact the Admissions department directly.
Age 11+ (Year 7) September 2022
Registered candidates are invited to attend a Junior Assessment Day at Worth in Spring 2022, six months prior to the year of entry.
Age 13+ (Year 9) September 2023/24
Admission at 13+, after visits and registrations, is via the ISEB Common Pre-Test, taken either at Worth or at Prep schools in the Autumn Term of Year 6, or occasionally in Year 7 for late entries, and Worth’s additional assessment days. Admission for overseas candidates is via separate assessment tests and interviews held in their own countries.
Age 15+ (Year 11) September 2022
Worth has a select intake at 15+ for a one-year IGCSE/Pre-IB course.
Registered candidates will be invited for an interview, either virtually or at Worth, and reports, references and predicted examination grades will be requested. Candidates may also be required to sit subject assessment papers.
Age 16+ (Year 12) September 2022
Worth has a significant intake at both 16+ for either the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme or A Levels, including BTECs.
Registered candidates will be invited for an interview in the Autumn, either virtually or at Worth, and reports, references, and predicted examination grades will be requested. Candidates may also be required to submit assessed examples of academic work.
