Impressive climate change presentations

As part of their Year 12 IB English studies, students have been exploring a unit on Climate Change Migration and the Earthshot Prize, working in groups of four after being assigned one of the Earthshot categories.

Each group developed an innovative ‘Worth Shot Prize’ proposal, imagining a solution that could be introduced at Worth School to tackle climate change within the community.

Their ideas were carefully researched, structured into formal proposals and presented to an expert panel of judges: Laura Francis and Kelly Gardin from Gatwick Airport Sustainability, Peter Forrester of the Rotary Club with expertise in business management and public speaking, and Craig Henden, a specialist in Forest School and outdoor education.

The standard of presentations was outstanding across the board, but the overall Worth Shot Prize 2026 was awarded to a group for their creative proposal to build a waste-free world by introducing a reusable Worth School bottle.

Congratulations to all students for their impressive work and commitment to making a difference.
