Five Worth students claim medals at county championships

Five Worth students claimed medals at the Sussex Schools’ Track and Field Championships held in challenging conditions at the K2 in Crawley last weekend.

In heavy rain and wind, Oliver Davies won gold in the senior boys’ 200m, there were silvers for Daniel Persad in the senior boys’ 400m hurdles, Christian Cairns Thomas in the junior boys’ 80m hurdles and Austin in the junior boys’ discus, while Daniel Aghedo-Jacob claimed bronze in the junior boys’ triple jump.

Christian, Daniel P and Austin will be representing Sussex in the inter-counties meeting this weekend.

Congratulations to all five students. This is an excellent achievement.
