Summer Festival is a wonderful event
The Worth community came together for a wonderful evening as the Friends of Worth hosted their Summer Festival on the Austin Oval.
The family event provided an afternoon and evening of entertainment and fun enjoyed by almost 600 people. It included a bucking bronco, tug-of-war, a range of stalls and a feast of food including street food, hog roast, a variety of breads and cheeses plus an evening firepit and marshmallows.
There were also afternoon teas, fine cakes and pastries, a chocolate fountain and an artisan ice cream cart, while to quench a thirst there were mocktails, milkshakes, locally made cider, beer and wine plus a gin and prosecco bar. To complete a fabulous occasion visitors also enjoyed live music, a silent disco plus a fireworks grand finale.
The Friends of Worth, the parents' association at Worth, organises many events throughout the academic year to provide opportunities for parents, students and teachers to come together and create that special environment that makes Worth so unique. For more on the Friends of Worth click here.
