Worth nominated for fundraising award
Worth School has been nominated for a junior fundraiser of the year award for its work with animal welfare centre Raystede.
Students from the School have been visiting Raystede at Ringmer, near Lewes, on a regular basis to help out at the centre, as well as recently assisting staff with fundraising in the County Mall shopping centre in Crawley and at Three Bridges railway station.
As a result of our work with Raystede, Worth has been nominated for their ‘2018 Outstanding Junior Fundraisers’ award and will now attend an awards ceremony at Sussex Downs College in January.
Just before the end of term, a representative from Raystede came to Worth with Lewis the dog to collect a cheque for £203 which was raised by students and staff donating £1 each on a Christmas jumper day at the School.
