Learning about life in a monastery

Year 7 pupils spent a fascinating History lesson learning about what it is like to live as a monk in Worth Abbey.

The children were given a tour of the Abbey Church and the Abbey grounds, while also enjoying a talk about life in the monastery from Fr Martin McGee.

Worth School sits alongside Worth Abbey, a Benedictine monastery, and benefits from being able to use the Abbey Church as a striking venue for school assemblies, major concerts and communal worship.
