Literature in Movie and Film Club

Love books? Love movies? Why not explore both. The Literature in Movie and Film Club is where great stories come to life on the big screen. Each meeting, we will dive into a classic or modern literary work, whether it is a novel, play, poem or short story, and then watch famous movie scenes, TV episodes or full films that bring these stories to life. From Shakespeare to sci-fi, mythology to modern classics, we will explore how literature is adapted for the screen, discuss changes made and debate whether 'the book was better'. This is a fun, engaging way to experience storytelling in multiple formats while deepening your love for books and movies. Join us for lively discussions and a chance to see literature in action.
