Medals for Worth athletes

Worth athletes picked up a host of medals for their sterling performances following the final Sussex Independent Schools Diamond League meeting of the year.

At round four which was held at Withdean Stadium, Brighton, Worth students competed well in a variety of disciplines and, once scores from the four meetings were totted up, medals were presented.

Our girls’ team particularly did the School proud, with special mention to Laragh who competed in four different events and to Annabel who claimed gold in the 1500m.

The junior boys also shone, with Tristan claiming gold in the 800m with a PB of 2.16. Among the senior boys there were medals for both Stephen and Ewan in the high jump, there was a bronze in the relay and Louis claimed a medal in the 800m.

Well done to all students who have represented Worth in the Diamond League this season.
