We were delighted to welcome Ruth Shaw OBE, chief executive of the Premier League Charitable Fund, to Worth on Tuesday for a fascinating talk to students in our Spencer Lecture Series.
Ruth talked about her role which involves being accountable for the charity’s money, activity and people, making sure that the money they get from the Premier League is well spent on projects that have a positive impact on communities. She also spoke about their work with rainbow laces, say no to racism and grassroots projects.
The Spencer Lecture Series provides students with a broad range of thought-provoking talks on a variety of subjects. This talk was of particular interest to sports scholars at Worth.
