Year 7 History pupils linked classroom studies with hands-on learning when they visited Fishbourne Roman Palace, which is Britain’s largest Roman home with stunning mosaics, reconstructed gardens and immersive displays.

This historic site in West Sussex includes a vast, excavated villa with floor mosaics, recreated Roman style gardens and an onsite museum with artifacts.

The trip provided an important connection to the classical world and the Roman impact on Britain. It built on the pupils’ learning of Roman Britain in the Autumn Term.

Austin House is our co-educational Junior School house at Worth for Years 7 and 8, providing a crucial stepping stone for pupils as they transition to a senior school environment.
