Our pupils were praised for their engagement and how articulate they were following a Year 8 Art trip to Pallant House Gallery in Chichester.
Pallant House Gallery has a world-class collection of modern British art, made up of 5,000 pieces from 1900 to the present day, so this was a fascinating opportunity for our pupils.
They enjoyed a workshop, explored the theme of ‘identity’, looked at a sculpture by Ronald Moody which they responded to in a clay workshop, were given an insightful talk and looked at the portraiture exhibition.
Mia, education coordinator at Pallant House, emailed the School saying: “Thank you for attending the workshop today. It was so wonderful to work with your lovely students, who made some great contributions to the discussions as well as some fabulous portraits. Their behaviour and enthusiasm was excellent.”
