Rugby boys are Bowl winners

Worth is celebrating another two excellent rugby successes including our 1st team winning the Bowl competition at the Gordon’s Rugby Sevens.

This has been an excellent year for rugby at the School with two of our 15-a-side teams – the 1st XV and the U15A side – reaching national quarter-finals, while 1st XV player Felix Bateman-Champain has become a regular in the England U18 side and team-mate Tate Williams joined an England U18 training camp during the recent half term break.

Last Sunday our 1st VII rugby sevens boys went into the Bowl competition at Gordon’s following initial results and they won the Bowl group with victories over New Hall School (31-12) and Maidstone Grammar School (14-12).

Meanwhile, last Friday our U14 rugby boys won the U14 Sussex Sevens tournament on points difference, beating Brighton College 24-14 and Hurst College 19-12 to finish with two wins out of three.

Well done to both teams.
