Rugby boys honoured

Worth School

Our U15 rugby team shared morning tea with the Head Master last week in recognition of winning the Sussex Cup.

The boys became county champions when they defeated Hurst College 32-15 in the final earlier this month. To acknowledge that achievement, Head Master Mr Stuart McPherson invited the team to join him for tea and to talk about their success. The boys then gathered for a photograph on the Head Master’s lawn.

It has been a successful time for sport at Worth and rugby in particular. A day after the U15 boys won the Sussex Cup, the U14s were crowned county champions when they won the Sussex Sevens, beating Brighton College in the final, and then the girls’ team reached the Plate final at the Worthing Sevens, which was their first ever tournament.

Well done to all involved.

Also pictured are the girls at the Worthing Sevens and the U14 boys.
