Sailors do Worth proud

Four students represented Worth School superbly when they took part in the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy Autumn Regatta.

The quartet did the School proud, sailing with determination and good humour, and showing excellent sportsmanship.

Oscar and Timmy started strongly, coming sixth in the first race before finishing 11th overall, while Archie and Anna finished with a 10th in the final race to end up 13th overall. In increasing winds, both boats had a turtle capsize in one race but were not deterred, laughed through the cold and showed great Worth spirit.

Both pairs were racing together for the first time in unfamiliar boats and against teams who train and compete together most weeks. They should all be very proud of themselves and have a great base on which to progress in future events.

Well done to all four students.
