Service at heart of a Worth education

Worth School

Serving others is an important part of the education we provide at Worth and it has been lovely recently to see groups of students preparing dinner at a church in Crawley as well as volunteering for a charity providing arts courses for disabled adults.

Boys in our social outreach programme have been showing off their culinary skills for people on the Alpha Course at St John’s Church, which is part of the Church Crawley group of churches and long-term partner of Worth.

Meanwhile, a group of three students are on a longer-term weekly placement with Bloomin’ Arts, an inspiring charity where adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and neurodiverse adults can develop skills and a love of visual arts, theatre and dance in a fun, friendly, relaxed environment.  Our students have been helping the charity with a marketing campaign structure that will be used across three major projects this year.

Service is central to each worth pupil’s journey at Worth. We aim to teach the value of putting the needs of others first.

Well done to all students involved in these two initiatives.
