The Worth School Art Gallery is back in operation, showcasing the wonderful work of our students.
The gallery will be open throughout the academic year, with the shows changing every half term. This half term there has been a selection of GCSE and A Level Art and Photography as well as IB Diploma Art.
“Art enables a visual voice,” is the ethos of the Art department. The gallery captures how art can communicate emotions, ideas and stories that words sometimes cannot fully express. Whether it is painting, photography, sculpture or digital media, art gives form to the intangible and allows people to connect across cultures and experiences.
Pupils are encouraged to visit the gallery while prospective families visiting the School are also given an opportunity to see the work displayed.
The vision of the Art department is:
- To cultivate a vibrant and inclusive, creative community where every student discovers their artistic voice, develops lifelong passion for the visual arts and gains the skills and confidence to shape their world through imagination and innovation;
- To ignite creativity, cultivate artistic excellence and empower students to see, think and create in ways that shape their futures and inspire the world around them;
- To build a supportive and collaborative art community where students feel empowered to express their ideas, emotions and perspectives visually, fostering empathy, understanding and a deep appreciation for the transformative power of art.
