Sixth Formers visit Auschwitz

Worth School

Worth offers a wide variety of educational trips throughout the academic year and Sixth Form students had the opportunity to go to Auschwitz and Krakow during the recent exeat weekend.

Organised by the History department, the Auschwitz-Birkenau part of the trip was understandably an emotional and sobering experience, but also an important part of history for students to process and reflect upon.

The historic city of Krakow was a different experience, with its culture and architecture, while there was also a visit to the Wieliczka salt mines.

Worth arranges trips both in the UK and overseas for all year groups throughout each academic year. During the first weekend of the October half term there will be a Year 11 History/Modern Foreign Languages trip to Berlin, while at the end of the Autumn Term there is a Sixth Form surf trip to Morocco departing on 12 December and the annual ski trip to Austria for Years 11 to 13 leaving a day later.

Years 7 to 10 get the chance to go on a ski trip to Austria at the end of the Lent Term. The new year also sees a Sixth Form History/Politics trip to Washington in February half term.
