Students being formed in leadership

Fri, Feb 13th, 2026
Worth School

Year 12 students took on a series of logic challenges as part of the Worth Leadership Formation course last Saturday morning.

Worth has been running the Worth Leadership Formation course for six years and each year the programme has been strengthened. The course begins in September and runs through to the Summer Term.

It is a formal course that Year 12 students have to complete if they want to be considered for any positions of responsibility within the School, such as prefect roles, but you do not have to be applying for such roles to undertake the course. The aim is to form students in leadership, as well as showing them how faith connects to leadership.

At the end of the course students have to produce a portfolio including a 1,500-word reflection on aspects of servant leadership.

The course also includes guest speakers and next month we welcome Alexander McLean, the founder and CEO of Justice Defenders, who has appeared in TIME’s ‘30 Under 30 Changing the World’ and ‘The Power List’, featuring Britain's most influential people of African and African-Caribbean heritage.
