A group of students showed great resilience as they completed their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Practice Expedition on Dartmoor last weekend.
This followed almost 40 students taking part in their Silver Practice Expedition on Ashdown Forest the previous week.
Worth has a large and active Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme with almost a third of pupils taking part each year and we are proud to have the highest achievement rate among independent schools in the South East region.
Whether it is Gold, Silver or Bronze, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a challenging programme of personal development which helps the formation of young people and is favourably looked upon by universities and employers.
In the Summer Term at Worth, our students will be taking part in Gold, Silver and Bronze qualifying expeditions.
