Students prepare for Gold award

Worth School

It was great to see so many of our students taking part in their Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award Practice Expedition on Dartmoor last week.

Twenty-four students put themselves through some tough challenges across the week in preparation for the qualifying expedition at the end of the Summer Term.

At the same time Worth had an even larger group taking part in the Silver Award Practice Expedition  on Exmoor and in May all of Year 9 will be taking part in the Bronze Award Expedition Practice Day.

The School is proud to be a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Directly Licensed Centre, which allows us to run and approve Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards. The Award is extremely popular at Worth and in recent times we have had the highest achievement rate among independent schools in the South-East region.
