Sixth Form students braved challenging conditions as they took part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Practice Expedition on Dartmoor just before Easter.

In weather which deteriorated by the day, the students showed their resilience and character as they prepared for the Gold Qualifying Expedition in June.

Worth has a proud record of running the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The School is a licenced DofE centre and, with almost a third of pupils taking part each year, we have the highest achievement rate among independent schools in the South East region.

In the first week of the Summer Term we will have a group of students taking part in the Silver Practice Expedition, with their Qualifying Expedition also taking place in June. In the last week of the Summer Term all of Year 9 will be participating in the Bronze Qualifying Expedition.
