Students take up the challenge

Well done to students who showed character and determination to complete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Silver Practice Expedition on Ashdown Forest last weekend.

Worth is proud of its Duke of Edinburgh’s Award provision. The DofE is a challenging programme of personal development and about one third of students within the School take part in the scheme each year at Bronze, Silver or Gold Award level.

Students working towards the Silver Award this year will now turn their attention to May when their Qualifying Expedition takes place.

Tomorrow 10 students will leave for Dartmoor to take part in their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Practice Expedition on Dartmoor this weekend. Their Qualifying Expedition will be in June along with the Bronze Award equivalent. All pupils in Year 9 at Worth are automatically entered for the Bronze Award.
