Students work with talented artist

A group of Year 10 GCSE Art students enjoyed a screen-printing workshop with talented printmaker Jane Sampson, creating artwork which will count towards their final exams.

During this engaging experience at Ink Spot Press in Hove, students worked on a three-colour piece of artwork. They utilised a piece of artwork they had previously created during the GCSE course, such as a painting, collage or drawing completed this year.

Jane Sampson is an artist, printmaker, educator and author who wrote the book ‘Screenprinting’, which is an excellent resource for artists of all abilities.

This workshop has been invaluable to our students in helping them explore and refine their artistic ideas using a diverse range of materials. A second group of Worth students will attend the workshop in March.
