Tax expert gives Business talk

A tax facts ambassador from HMRC came into Worth this week to deliver a hugely informative talk to Year 10 Business students about the UK tax system.

Mrs Karen Hopper gave two 45-minute talks to different classes about how tax is paid when someone is working, the impact of not collecting tax and the role of HMRC.

The talks also supported students in achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks, which are a framework for high-quality career guidance in schools and colleges.

Business is a popular subject at Worth which can be studied at GCSE, A Level and the IB Diploma.
