Worth is proud of three Year 12 students who have reached the national final of The Economics Olympiad UK, putting them among the top 50 students in the country.

All three performed superbly at the regional round of this competition which challenges students on all manner of economic theories that span well beyond the IB and A Level curriculum and covers some university study concepts.

The Economics Olympiad is the world’s largest competition in economics and this year is the first time Worth has entered it.

Head of Economics and Business Studies Mr James Dupoy said: “I am incredibly proud of what these students have achieved. For Worth to have 6% of the national finalists is a fantastic achievement.”
