From bingo to go-karting, there was plenty going on for boarders through our weekends programme last weekend.
The weekend was launched with a bingo night in the refectory on Friday evening, then on Saturday a group of Years 9 and 10 students went on a go-karting trip to Crawley. On Saturday evening we ran a ‘fast food fun bus’, taking boarders from all year groups to Crawley to get meals, then on Sunday there was a trip to Tulleys Escape Rooms.
This Friday there are race simulators, dance mats and bounce-a-ball in the Sports Hall as well as a visiting pizza van and a Sixth Form bar. There are onsite activities for Years 9 and 10 on Saturday morning, then on Saturday evening there is a Year 9 and 10 social plus a Year 11 FIFA tournament. On Sunday, there is a day outing to Brighton, with an opportunity to visit the historic lanes, do some shopping or go on the pier.
Our weekends programme opens up a huge range of opportunities for both boarders and day pupils and also underlines our commitment to being a 7-day-a-week boarding school, now increasingly unusual in South East England.
