It was lovely to be able to welcome back to Worth the class of 2020 for a proper farewell on Friday.
This year group missed out on a normal Worth send-off due to the global pandemic which forced the closure of schools two years ago. However, we were determined to ensure they did not miss out completely and they were welcomed back on the final day of term for a drinks reception on the Head Master’s lawn when they received their leavers’ gifts and had the opportunity to thank teachers.
It was great to hear how the 2020 leavers are progressing at university and in their lives, and we wish them continued happiness and success.
Embracing the Worthian spirit, this event came a week after we welcomed back leavers from 1970, 1971 and 1972 for their 50-year reunion, and it was on the same day as our latest Year 13 group celebrated their end of their time at Worth with a Leavers’ Ball.
