Congratulations to Worth equestrian rider Amelie de la Rosa who will represent the School at the NSEA National Championships later this year after winning a qualifying competition last weekend.
On Sunday, Amelie represented Worth in the NSEA Combined Training National Qualifiers competition held at Coombelands Equestrian. Combined training is a single day event, combining dressage and showjumping, testing a horse and rider’s precision and jumping ability. The same pair compete in both phases, with dressage scores converted to penalties and added to jumping faults to determine the lowest-scoring winner.
Amelie and her horse Charlie achieved first place against some very tough competition, with an outstanding dressage score and a perfect clear round showjumping. This has qualified them to represent Worth at the National Championships held at Addington in October.
Students have the opportunity and are encouraged to represent the Worth Equestrian Team at a range of local and national events. The team is open to any students wishing to join and they compete in Worth livery.
In 2025 a team of Worth students qualified to represent the School at the NSEA National Horse Show Final, while earlier in the 2024-25 academic year another team finished third out of 55 schools in the 1m showjumping class at the National Schools Equestrian Championships.
Well done to Amelie. Pictures are courtesy of LRG Photography.
