Worth is delighted to announce that we will be installing a state-of-the-art indoor golf studio thanks to the generosity of supporters through the Annual Fund.

The golf programme at the School has been running for four years and is growing in strength and size. The success of the golf teams in inter-school matches and the senior team reaching the National Finals of the ISGA Team Matchplay Competition for the first time is testament to this.

Interest and enthusiasm for golf is growing across all age groups in the School. The ability to offer year-round golf lessons at school and have an excellent indoor practice facility is a natural next step for the golf programme.

A state-of-the-art indoor golf facility, complete with a Trackman 4 simulator and putting practice area, will be installed in the Sports department after this Annual Fund project was fully funded.

Director of Sport, Mr David Burton, said: “We are thrilled that the golf simulator has been fully funded through the Annual Fund. It will be a really exciting enhancement to our growing golf programme, enabling a virtual golf experience with ball tracking technology to aid in coaching and skills development. We can’t wait to get this project set up and start using it. Thank you to all who donated.”

Seven projects in this year’s Annual Fund have now been fully funded, providing wireless microphones, theatre curtains and lights for the Drama department, cello and bass racks for the Music department, a VEO camera for the Sports department and a new patio for Gervase House. All projects in the Annual Fund significantly enhance the educational and recreational experiences of our pupils.
