Worth hosts student-run dog show

Fri, Apr 22nd, 2022
Worth School

For the first time ever, Worth School will be hosting a dog show on Sunday 22 May which is being run by five Year 12 IB students as part of their CAS project.

The event will take place on the Austin Oval from 2pm, with parking in the Abbey Car Park. The students would love dog owners to join them for an afternoon of fun. It is open to Worth students, parents and staff.

Categories are as follows: Handsome boy; Prettiest girl; Waggiest tail; Best puppy (under 2 years old); Sweetest veteran (above 7 years old); Best trick; Best junior handler – year 8 and below; Best dressed dog – fancy dress (bonus points if you dress up with your dog!); Best in show (top from each event). There will also be an award for the agility course the students have put together.

Entry is £2.50 per category and all money raised by the event will go towards the charity Imagine for Margo, which fights against childhood cancer.

The five students have worked extremely hard in planning this event and it would be lovely if students, parents and staff could support them. You do not need to choose categories in advance but you need to let organisers know if you are attending by filling in the following form: https://forms.gle/79aWoEEfBYd8K23i9

If you cannot access the link please email MarketingAdmin@worth.org.uk and your email will be passed on to the student organisers.

Creativity, activity, service (CAS) is one of the three essential elements that every student must complete as part of the IB Diploma Programme. Worth has been offering the IB Diploma as a Sixth Form option since 2002.
