Worth Musician of the Year 2025

Worth School

Worth celebrated the musical talents of our students at a fantastic Worth Musician of the Year final which featured a wide range of styles from classical to music theatre and rock.

Worth Musician of the Year was introduced in 2019 to showcase the talent within the School and this year’s final featured a flautist, a drummer, an organist and a pianist.

Many congratulations to flautist Louisa Campling who was adjudged to be the 2025 Worth Musician of the Year for a recital which included pieces by Lennox Berkeley, Claude Debussy and Francis Poulenc.

The competition was judged by professional musician Stuart Miles who had an incredibly hard decision to make following an excellent evening of music. Mr Miles has been Head of Music at three schools, Senior Deputy Headmaster at The John Lyon School in Harrow and, since retirement, school organist at Gordon’s School as well as accompanying the Worth School Chamber Choir on a couple of occasions.

He said: “This has been a feast of music. The finalists have shown a tremendously high level of musicianship and are a credit to both the Music department and Worth School.”

Congratulations to Louisa for winning the competition and well done to all the finalists.
