While celebrating our best IB Diploma average since 2017, there were also some excellent individual achievements in this summer’s exams with a number of students achieving 40 points or more.

In our latest set of summer 2025 exam case studies, we congratulate all of last year’s IB Diploma cohort and take a look at two students in particular who had some lovely things to say about Worth.

Giada said: “There is something for everyone (at Worth) and Worth does an impeccable job of finding out what that is for each student, then helping them reach their full potential. I have never seen this done in the way Worth does this anywhere else – by truly caring about each and every person on campus.”

Robert said: “I have really enjoyed my time at Worth and gained a lot from everything it offers. If asked, I would gladly recommend making the same choice to join Worth as I did.”

Worth offers Sixth Formers the choice of studying A Levels or the International Baccalaureate Diploma. We have 20 years of experience of running the IB Diploma, which has a reputation for being demanding but rewarding.

Please read on to say what these students say about their results, how Worth helped them, their time at the School and their plans for the future.

ROBERT HAUSSLER

Which subjects did you take and what were your results? I took Physics HL, Math AA HL, English B HL, German A SL, Global Politics SL and Economics SL. Overall I achieved a score of 41.

How did you feel when you got your results? I was very relieved and satisfied after two intense years and a stressful exam period. Overall, I was very pleased with my results.

How did Worth help you achieve those results? Worth helped me by providing quiet studying spaces, within the Spencer Building. The school itself was an encouraging environment, pushing me to excel at my chosen subjects. The availability of teachers and tutors, especially during the exam period gave me the needed support.

How much have you enjoyed your time at Worth? I have really enjoyed my time at Worth and gained a lot from everything it offers. If asked, I would gladly recommend making the same choice to join Worth as I did.

What are you hoping to do next? This September I am attending the university of St Gallen in Switzerland for Business Studies.

GIADA FERRARIO

Which subjects did you take and what were your results? I studied English A, German B and Global Politics at higher level, and then Philosophy, Maths AI and Chemistry at standard level. I received 3 extra points, giving me a total of 40 points.

How did you feel when you got your results? I was shocked to say the least; I had thought that my exams did not go completely to plan and were not a great reflection of what I would normally achieve. I was therefore not expecting to see that, for the most part, they did in fact go well. It was, however, the moment that marked the end of my journey at Worth, so it was definitely a mix of relief and sadness.

How did Worth help you achieve those results? At Worth, we are immersed in an atmosphere in which students are truly cared about; one could only say it is an atmosphere of deep harmony, inclusion and kindness. This allows students to feel at home, meaning they have reason to ask for help if and when they need it, and are therefore supported throughout our entire journey.

How much have you enjoyed your time at Worth? My five years at Worth have been the most enjoyable of my life so far. It is truly difficult to express in just a few words everything that Worth has to offer, but all I can say is that there is something for everyone, and Worth does an impeccable job of finding out what that is for each student, then helping them reach their full potential. I have never seen this done in the way Worth does this anywhere else – by truly caring about each and every person on campus.

What are you hoping to do next? I am taking a gap year to explore different internship and other opportunities and rethink what I would like to study at university. I am now considering various different courses, including Liberal Arts and various dual degrees. As for universities in particular, I have yet to decide and shall be applying to various all over the world.
